Ankhkheperure Neferneferuaten (Nefertiti, Smenkhkare)

Akhenaten's wife, co-regent and successor.
She was born an Arzawan princess (from Western Anatolia) who was renamed Nefertiti as soon as she came to Egypt.
When her husband Akhenaten became co-regent of his father Amenhotep 3 she became queen Neferneferuaten Nefertiti.
When Amenhotep 3 died she became her husband's co-regent as female pharaoh Ankhkheperure Neferneferuaten Meriwaenre.
After he husband's death the boy-king Tutankhamun became her co-regent who moved the administration to Mennefer while she remained in the city of Akhetaten and reigned as Ankhkheperure Semenkhkare Djoserkheperu until her own death.
