Pelasgiotis (Peloponnese)
land of the Pelasgians

The landmass to the south of the Gulf of Corinth, only attached to Europe by the slender Isthmus of Corinth. Renamed the 'Peloponnesos' after being taken over by Pelops who ended the Danaoi dynasty and founded the Achaiwoi (Achaean) dynasty.
