Battle of the Five Kings (Battle of the Vale of Siddim)
1833 BCE

Under the rule of emperor Amar-Sin (biblical Amraphel, king of Shinar) a large punishment expedition was led against the rulers of cities around the Salt Sea for their refusal to pay tribute to their distant overlords of the Ur III dynasty.
Zariku govemor of Ashur (biblical [Z]arioch of Ellasar), despatched a thousand troops, Kutir-Lagamar of Susa (biblical Chedor-La[g]omer of Elam) brought with him a thousand spearmen and five bundred archers, and Tishadal of Urkish (biblical Ti[sha]dal, king of the nations) supplied two thousand five hundred of his fiercest warriors from the Hurrian tribal confederacy of the Zagros mountains.
They met and overcame the united forces of king Bera of Sodom and king Birsha of Gomorrah and the kings of Admah, of Zeboim and of Bela.
